Post Any reading suggestions Falcon and Winter Soldier *possible spoilers in thread*?

    I've read:
    - everything written by Brubaker; Bucky solo run, Bucky as Cap, etc.

I'd like to read (more) about the following characters:

    - Sam Wilson as Falcon (not as Cap era)
    - USAgent
    - well I'd say Bucky pre-Brubaker era..but there isn't much?

If possible, I'd like to hear specific storylines/issues, not an entire run.
    Thanks

You should read the recent "Falcon and Winter Soldier" miniseries

For USAgent, read Mark Gruenwald's Captain America run from back in the 1980s, starting with issue 323 and going up to issue 350 or so, as that was where he debuted and got a lot of his character established and explored. Won't spoil it much for you, but I can tell you right now that it's gonna be a very bumpy ride compared to Steve Rogers, especially since Gruenwald intended him more to represent what Captain America, as a hero and an iconic symbol, shouldn't be(come).

There was an Avengers/ Invaders 12 issue series that came out in 2008. It has been awhile since I read it, but I remember how well they used Bucky. He wasn't just a kid, he was a trained soldier who knew how to handle himself.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

I know you don’t want to read Falcon as Captain America but Nick Spencer’s run was very, very good.

Much better than what Remender did even though he started it.

He said "as Falcon", and frankly I'd start from the earlier Mighty Avengers run anyway - relaunching it as "Captain America and..." was rather pointless (the only change was that Sam was now Cap - he wasn't even the leader, that's Luke Cage), it's all one run.

Also, Torres from the show is actually based on a character from the comics who appeared throughout that run.
