Default Check out Henry Cavill in the new Superman costume!

Spinoff's got a picture of Henry Cavill in the new costume for Dawn of Justice.

For everyone who's been complaining about the darkness? Unless they plan to have a filter on the entire movie, I wouldn't worry any more.

I like the blue they're using this time.

So do I. MUCH more vibrant.

I also like the yellow around the "S." Just about my only real complaint about the MoS costume was the lack of yellow. The "S" just didn't "pop" the way it should. It's one of the most iconic and universally recognized symbols in human history. It should ALWAYS stand out.

Looks good, but a little too much of a bodybuilder's sculpt, especially in the thighs.

it's going to come down to how it looks on film with the filters put on. Be nice if it stayed that color since it's better than MOS'.

Also they really are going a bit too much on the focus on his muscles. Not a big deal but it's there.

There are a lot more things than just filters that determine how a colour looks when it is finally processed and projected on screen. You have lighting, exposure, film stock (if they use film and not digital), processing, etc. It's impossible to predict how the colours will come out at the end.

He's not that ripped, it looks over exaggerated.

Yeah they overdid it with the muscle shadowing. Reminds me of Burton's Batman costume with the built in muscles.

At least the color is a bit brighter.

Yeah and he's big enough without the exaggeration. I think they should've gone with a body suit that had far less focus on the muscle.

    Wow.

And here I was, actually thinking that this thread might inspire a little optimism around here.

Forgot where I was. Won't make that mistake again.

Definitely like the enhanced color. But I agree the yellow is the biggest difference. Glad to see their not hesitant to actually have that stand out. Nothing wrong with yellow.

But no one is even bashing the movie here. You've just got a few ideas on the picture you posted. I didn't see "appreciation" on the title of this.

I mean you can't really go off a non-lit non-filtered non-shot picture of a movie. So at least for me it's a wait an see sort of thing.

Looking at photos of the MOS costume on display though, also in non-lit and non-filtered conditions, the Dawn of Justice costume is still brighter, so based on that I would imagine it would have to appear brighter in the movie too, unless it were to go with even darker filters than MOS did.
