Maybe. He's a decent storyteller.

On topic, I could see him do an MCU movie as a career chess move or a way to appeal to his kids. I don't think he cares about a shared universe so you best give him something more isolated. He tends to do alot of grounded sci-fi so maybe find him someone obscure.

He may only do one film just because he would just move on to other projects. He did finish the Batman Trilogy but that took close to a decade and he did other films in the interim.

That's a possibility. Honestly I feel Nolan struggles with humanizing his characters, but that could make hima good fit for Watchmen characters, who are kinda archetypical
