when it comes to wanda, Hickman 100 % does not care about her and will drag her trough the mud for a good x-men story, and it is what it is .

empyre x-men and this 3 year avenger run witout even an alternate wanda proves that!
the bad issue here is that she isnt on an avenger book to provide content to her, but nothing the x writers are doing is bad or undeserved

Stories never prove writers personal feelings of characters. So unless you have a quote or something of characters he hates, it's conjecture and stirring the pot from you as usual.

Wouldn't you rather avoid being too tribal? I get we all like our favorites but IMO the problems were more due to writers mishandling the characters

it was done in heroes reborn! the x-men are big enough to fill up a whole universe seperated from avengers/f4/gotg/spiderman etc and it save us the type of stories that made wanda a persona non grata of the x-men comic line

    I remember that storyline.

Honestly, I'd prefer the two sides to work together to permanently end the mutant persecution business

You mean the one where pretty every character outside the X-Men and Spider-man was killed off and then violently ejected from the Marvel universe for being perceived an inferior product.

    Yeah, real tempting there /s

It's not really better than how the X-Men were treated recently

Even if the X-Men were being promoted better, the premise of the franchise has remained stuck in the past for a while and wouldn't really be marketable these days anyway. This idea of using mutants as an allegory for civil rights might have been novel two decades ago, but given how society has changed since then and how our understanding of social justice has evolved and adapted, you can't really a story about how shooting laser beams from your eyes is the same as being gay, invariably written by a straight dude, and expect that to click with audiences in 2021.

I agree. And actual representation is being asked for. I think it would be better to promote the X-Men on the strength of the individual characters
