Looks good. Is that a ring assisted projection by Hal Jordan? Kewl.
But is that Shayera?!?!
The guardians of Oa disserve to have a little girl tell them off, tbh.
Epic art! Love Soy’s work!
And that robe costume is fire.

Ah, this looks good.
No offense to Morrison; his GL was def. interesting, but this more traditional take is what I’ve been waiting for. Lking the wide screen visuals and ensemble cast. Looking forward to seeing if anything happens between John and Shayera.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
I’m just noticing how they show energy coming from his ringless left hand. I don’t feel like that’s shown much.
Not to happy with the teeny bopper on the cover. (Never been a fan of comics that are written for younger audiences even as a kid myself)
Other than that looks good.
I mean red jack/Thorne especially said don’t expect John to get any romances anytime soon. That said, I actually think it makes a lot of sense to establish someone new compared to use Kendra and Shayera.
I mean sorry to say but dc just did big romance stories with both of them, Shayera getting together with Carter and reestablishing their entire lifetimes together as well as sending them back to WW2 to live out their one life together while Kendra just was with Martian Manhunter. Considering that and that John will be in space for a while it’s probably best to establish someone new.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
That's not the issue for me, the issue is....
Is whenever a teeny bopper is injected into a comic book, I find that the writing is often geared to a pre teen Young Justice audience.
I'm sure that is not the case here though. (Just wondering where DC is going with their new direction)
