I liked it. Shark is a sketchy CGI job though. When you buy your King Shark on Wish!

That looks like a James Gunn Suicide Squad. Which should be entertaining, if nothing else .

I feel like it's appropriate here to some extent but Harley still feels a little too much here.

Looks like King Shark can only talk like a baby? Will we get "King Shark is a Shark?"

    spoilers:
So does Flag bite it to where Bloodsport needs to take over?

Starro is something I could only have expected coming from Gunn. Although how does the Justice League not notice this?
    end of spoilers

Isn't the Suicide squad suppose to be about smaller threats? Why use a world ending threat again especially when it is another cgi monstrosity?

WB: “James, we need you to course correct this franchise, can you save us?”

    Gunn: “Yep.”

    WB: “How?”

Gunn: “I’m gonna make it weird and gruesomely hilarious.”

As someone who wishes Gunn went back to his Slither roots (like Snyder is going back to zombies), I approve.

In 1989, a few months before the premier of Batman. If you had told 13 year old me, that there's going to come a time in the future, that these cape movies are going in such rapid succession, you won't be able to even make it out to see them all and you're going to have to make some judgements. I'd have said- "Bull-shit, I'm gonna be here for it yo"! That kid would have been so wrong.

On the scale of positive, meh or negative, I'm gonna give this a meh plus. FWIW, it's doesn't look as miserable as the first one.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Problem with Gunn is how poorly timed (and heavy) the supposed humoristic parts tend to be in his movies. Kinda killed my enjoyment of Gotg2 really.

And well, joking about dicks already i see eh? Hmmm....

While I don't think that, much like with Guardians, strict adherence to a specific run or tone has to make or break this movie, by now even the comics had them confronting General Zod.
