I do love the hypocrisy though. Same people saying MCU is an assembly line and these directors get no freedom to create they're vision. Now saying this is just GOTG with blood and cuss words. .

How many have said that and if that was even true, it would not be surprising. SS 2 went into production at a time DC were been forced to copy marvel. they even got Gunn, maybe it is just GOTG with blood and cuss word but I would not even judge over that since this movie will merge more Aquaman , Shazam and WW 2. However I dont think this is the future for DC films. Movies like the Joker and the Snyder Cut are the true future of DC movies now moving forward. DC does not need to copy marvel anymore even going as far as to get one of their most comedic directors.

Maybe I'm the minority here but these trailers don't make me hyped to see this film. Maybe if I was a 16 year old teenage boy I would find some of these jokes funny. I'm typically pro DC but just not sold on this one yet even though I like Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Idris Elba. Hopefully, the film is better than what I'm seeing from the trailers.

Love the trailers. Wish we weren't in Covid times cause I bet this film would have destroyed at the box office. Looks like a blast .

Yeah, nothing about the trailer has actually landed to me and I do think this film is late to the party as well as using the wrong type of humor. Suicide squad should be funny but I think dark humor pairs better with it. I'm a huge fan of the DCAU and Bruce Timms Suicide Squad films were some of my favorite (Hell to Pay was awesome) but that may be why I'm a bit more critical.

Yeah I think that will be future. it is sort of obvious now where all the comic films are heading, DCU movies are going to become more like Joker/Snyder Cut as MCU will fall more into action comedies.

There is a good chance that if any discussion for SS 2 was made in 2021, they made not even have hired James Gunn since DC is thinking more clearly now.

As of 2021, The quest to turn DCU to be a clone of the MCU has failed completely and utterly. It does not matter anymore that they hired James Gunn to turn this movie to an r rated version GOTG.

Moi is thinking SS 2 is the last leg of the clone copy before DCEU gets back to their original plan. DC needs to face reality, their fans which includes me are responding better to their Jokers and Snyder Cuts than their Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 84.

Lol yea Aquaman 2,WW3, Shazam 2,Black Adam(The Rock and a director who just did Jungle Cruise. To be fair prior he was known for Liam Neeson Action flicks and the occasional horror film) A bunch of films and shows being done by JJ Abraham's, The Suicide Squad, young characters like static shock,Supergirl and Blue Beetle. I dont see any of these films being anything like Snyders films. Also how does A Oscar film like Joker get lumped in with Snyders films? I'm sure we will get more films like Joker on some level. Only Snyder can make Snyder films for better or worse. WBs has made it clear they are moving away from him. I guess people wanna play make believe.

I like this version of Harley Quinn - she was my favorite character in the first SS, I really liked BOP, and she looks to continue being great here.

I get a lot of comic book fans are just tired of her in the books, and that's translating into their feelings for the movies, but for the general audience not burned out on her from a hundred different Bat-books she's a favorite and WB would be fools to kill her off, even if BOP didn't meet their expectations.

Flag has to make it, he's too great a foil and his actor is perfect.
