Batwoman TV Series has Recast Kate Kane

I really like the new storyline with Kate and Alice.

From the bits I've seen of the Alice/Kate storyline so far, its mostly just Alice. Kate is too busy either being confused or a damsel. But each to their own, it's good you're getting enjoyment from it.

So, she used to be a competitive swimmer, and was training for the 2012 Olympics before deciding she wasn't enjoying it and quit. I don't find it surprising at all that she was/is a model. The interviewer and interviewee agreed that actors that don't work on, and improve, their dialect/accent are probably lazy. And they talked about making the most out of bad writing/dialogue. For casting purposes the Brits often find her to be "too American", lol.

Anyway, word is Dougray Scott (Jacob Kane) and Wallis Day (Kate Kane) won't be back next season and are written-out.
Jacob got tossed into prison for Alice's crimes or something weird like that a couple of eps back, and Kate is 'cured' but off to Capital City to see Kara again, and then off searching for her cousin Bruce Wayne. I suppose this means the OC will continue to live in Kate's apartment and work in her Bar, and all the other really weird story choices. Such a strange show.

My first instinct was they'd introduce a CW version of Mother (the big bad from Batman & Robin Eternal).

Apparently Christina Wolfe (Julia Pennyworth) isn't coming back either. Weird that the character was apparently brainwashed and abandoned though. I don't really care, but Team Bat seem like a bunch of unheroic jerks.

Yeah, I don't watch it, so my info is second-hand only. Nor do I really care about getting the details right that they bother with. Like why didn't Kate's face fall off when she was hit in the face with a fire hydrant (Hush's face fell off earlier in the season from a punch). How did the rest of her skin, that Alice didn't replace, heal in only 2 days. And...nope, not worth bothering with.

Glad that you seem to have enjoyed it though.

I do have one problem with the episode - there was a blackout early on, and they didn't explore the consequences.
