Default Does Jason Aaron need to go ?

I have mixed feelings about Jason Aaron on the Avengers, besides Blade I don't mind his roster but it feels like every issue is trying to top the next.
    Bigger is not always better.
Also I thought the 8th spot was supposed to be a rotating member position ?.
There is next to no character interaction in the book.
I loved the Kurt Busiek/George Perez run, are my expectations to high ?.
I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

His early Thor was great and his Conan was decent. Can't really say I've ever liked anything else he did.

Well, the Winter Guard/Dracula stuff early on in his Avengers was decent.

At least get him off any Thor-related stuff.

    I'm very mixed on Aaron.

He seems to be phoning it in right now but Aaron at his peak is one of the best in the industry.

I won't say he needs to go but if I were editorial, I would advise he rein in some of the more "silly" stuff of his writing.

He needed to go a long time ago. Now he is just torturing ppl with his writing. I was bored with him the minute he finished his arc on the godbutcher and started to write Malekith's arc in Thor

Unequivocally, yes be does need to go, IMO.

However, I think the problem runs deeper than one person with very bad ideas. Where is editorial oversight in all this?

There are two Jason Aarons I know.
First wrote Thor, Astonishing Spider-Man/Wolverine, Thanos Rising and Wolverine.
Second wrote Original Sin and currently writing Avengers.
I would like first to stay for as long as he wants to, but second needs to go, this stuff is un-readable and feels like a cheap fanfiction.

The real problem is the editors seeing Aaron get this bad and still let his stuff get to print.
    Wanna make somethin' of it?

Yet more proof of my opinion on editorial oversight for what the writers are putting out.

Aaron and Hickman both need to go.

    Exactly!

When Aaron is on he is ON

There is no denying his work on Wolverine, Wolverine & The X-Men, Thor are amazing; but his stuff lately has fallen off of a cliff.

Does that mean I want him gone - no.

Let him tell his story, I truly feel like he is gonna be done with the Avengers titles at #50 after Heroes Reborn

It's okay that we have a silly Saturday morning cartoon version of Avengers that is completely divorced from continuity, because to be honest, before Aaron we had Hickman and before him Bendis!

Hickman & Bendis wrote such continuity heavy Avengers books that there is absolutely no way a casual Avengers fan could pick up issue #XX and understand what the hell is going on.

So, I understand why Aaron's run did a complete 180 and why he has stuck around for these past couple of years.

Not read any of his Avengers stuff and only read his God Butcher Thor. I did however like his run on Punisher MAX.

To me I actually think the roster is a big part of the problem. There's no character interaction because almost the entire cast is solo characters who Aaron doesn't have a license to do anything with. This book is so plot heavy. I want a character-focused Avengers again. Give us a classic roster with an MCU flair -- think Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Falcon, with some new additions - Songbird, Kate Bishop?
