I would love to see a new take on Selene since she came back I have been curious to see her motivations for staying on Krakoa and if her actions on Captain America title had some effect but I donīt think it will be her title given it will be about a male villain.

To sum this up real quick....

Your sales are going to be messed up when you have a franchise that leaves a large pile of UNSOLD books. This includes Peter Parker, Bat God and others.
Most of your readers are just going to WAIT on certain books for trades or as we have seen at Midtown Comics-SALES like they did Monday of Marvel books for 99 cents.

It also does not help when you look at your competition and what they are tossing out. Not just DC but Image and others. Books that don't pack bins. It becomes buy it now or hunt for it later.

C'mon man, don't make it about race. No-one's ever like "if Hickman fails, is it all over for white writers?".
If Hickman fails it is NOT held against every white writer. In fact so many bad ones KEEP getting books as a former Generation X writer proved. Some got put on books that sale because of WHO is on the cover (Nightwing or Hal Jordan or Superman).

While POC get shafted at times. See Priest and McDuffie.
Or some get DEFENDED for being a POC despite bad writing and sales. See Coates.

So far Marvel has veered from the first one.

Now the QUESTION is will Marvel READERS give Victor LaValle a shot or is he going to get attacked by the usual suspects who scream diversity hire and need for boycotts.

His resume says he should be WELCOMED. Way more than some others who came in screaming they didn't care for a franchise from Africa or a kid from Dakota named Virgil. Or who lied about saying they like a black guy with a green ring, a nerdy black kid with nuclear powers or a cyborg from Detroit.
