this is the Milestone title I was most excited about after Static
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

I've just started reading the old 90s Hardware series, and this character's motivation seems very different from that one.
I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.

Me too, but I'd trade in all the Milestone characters for another Blood Syndicate book. Hardware was by far my favorite after them though.

I mean, Holocaust just made his debut in the last Static issue, hopefully the Blood Syndicate is gonna be in the next phase of Milestone books after this season wraps for Hardware, Static, and Icon & Rocket.

Yeah, I think this was the strongest concept to come out of Milestone -- and the preview art looks fantastic. Really like the coloring on this as well!

For him to be a normal man in a technologically advanced suit, it's almost weird how DIFFERENT Hardware is from Iron Man. Hardware's tech looks like something that could work in the real world and his personality is far superior to Tony Stark's (who's always struck me as an entitled douche).

The realism, the gritty toughness, the unapologetic striving towards black excellence, I didn't realize how much I missed Curtis Metcalf. He blows the competition out the water, great first issue!
