Too bad they can't use Sparrow from Amalgam, that was.. an interesting variant of Robin.

Hmm looking it up.... Mary Wills might be a good character to bring back. Too bad Robin betrayed her trust and sabotaged her costume to reveal her identity in public. The character concept was an interesting one up until then.

A group of teenagers/young adults in spandex, with their own personal schemes. You sure about that? XD

They aren’t made to compliment one another.
Which makes the fact that they often do all the more special

Their dynamics with each other have always been more interesting than their dynamics with Bruce. Especially in Dick's case. I'd always much rather read a book with him, and at least one of the other Robins, than a book with him and Batgirl.

They often don’t though. There is a lot of overlap and redundancy, forcing them to be dumbed down to better coexists. Dick is probably the most abused and cannibalized by this.

Sounds to me like writers being lazy and taking the easy way out inside of figuring out better ways that 4 people with vastly different backgrounds and experiences would interact with one another.

They were cut from the same mold to serve the same function. Visually it’s even hard to tell them apart. At the end of the day they are just not that different.

In a single, six issue miniseries there's a chance to do something interesting with it - the Robins should be part of each others lives, but not constantly and not without tension.

And none of that Tynion "Batman And Robin Eternal" Mind/Fist /Heart crap.

But they need to drill down into it on a character level - it feels like years since there was any effort to show what Dick and Tim's relationship is, or Jason and Damian's.

You could say the same from any major team in comic books like the JL, The JSA or even the Avengers and yet, they work when writers actually bother to put effort.

All the Robins teaming up is just such a simple and interesting concept with a lot of potential that is baffling this is the first serious attempt for a mini like that.

The Eternal weeklies don't count because those were just excuses to showcase other characters.

Imagine if Power Rangers weren't color coded.

The comparison to Power Rangers is interesting, as the Robins kind of ARE colour coded now. Dick is blue, Jason is red, Tim is green, Damian is black, and Steph is purple. And he calls himself Signal, but Duke Thomas, being from We Are Robin originally, could count as the yellow one.

The Cursed Wheel. Batman canonically color code them.

Seemingly round 3 will be from May 5 to May 13 and round 4 is from May 20 to May 27.

I think it was supposed to be creative teams, one page preview and then 10 page preview.
