    a) I haven't read Year One, so I can't judge it.
    b) That's an earlier work anyway. People can decline in quality you know. Romita prioritises speed over accuracy.

For the record, I didn't mind Bendis, but the art on the last couple of arcs before he left... ugh. Shame too, as those issues had Young Justice, Supergirl, both Superboys and Brainiac 5 as guest stars.

I love the comeback poster because I look at his Fantastic Four there and they look great to my eye, but when I look at some of the other characters I hate it. It encapsulates how divisive his art has become.

To be fair, I think it's the best work hes done for Marvel (the announcement image) but I agree, it can sometimes look rushed and messy at times. Excited to see what he'll be doing.

It's the inker more often than not who highlights the more unappreciated aspects of his distinctive style.
I preferred when Al Williamson inked his art in DD over his Thor later on under Janson.

    To the utmost, I agree...

OMG! Early 80's artwork from JRJR on ASM was totally AWESOME!

Me too. I'll always love the artwork of JRJR on Thor '98

My only disappointment was with his version of Thanos (especially the headgear). I was hoping it would've been more like the Lim version:

I liked his art in the 80's. Maybe he wanted to move away from being compared to his Dad. I guess Uncanny X-Men is where he debuted his current style, and I didn't care for it even back then.

I think (much like Ron Garney) JRJR is suited to big bold action set pieces. Robots, Hulks, The Thing, Nimrod, Juggy, Colossus are all characters I associate with him (and his work on Eternals).

Bendis and decompressed talk doesnt seem a natural fit for the man.

Has he actually drawn anything good in the last decade or so? Genuine question, everything i have seen from him has been awful, his art on Action comics from a few months ago was some of the worst artwork i have ever seen, you could tell he was on complete auto-pilot mode there.

I hope he comes back to draw people like

    heroes:
Blade, Black Panther, Miles Morales, Spectrum, Blue Marvel, Storm.

    villains:
Mephisto (especially the 'monster' version), Thanos, blackheart, Killmonger, Red Skull, Rhino, Loki, Kraven, Karnilla, Enchantress, Lorelei.

Agreed. The JRJR version is unforgettably creepy (IMHO):
