Tough choices this week, but I simply can't resist anything related to the SHAZAM!/Marvel Family.
My vote goes to seismic-2.
Iron Maiden.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
WestPhillyPunisher since Betty looks fine in her prom dress
So many diverse covers. I decided to add my own criteria that it has to be a red shirt. Not just any top that it red, so that eliminated costume tops, armor tops, tunics, coveralls, dresses and the like. The most red shirtiest cover is Iron Maiden.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Have to go with Stony and Jay this week.Honorable mentions for:* Greg Hatcher's Airboy
* Kai "the spy" and Charlie Brown / Peanuts
* Iron Maiden's Fantastic Four
* SquirrelMan's Alan Scott / All-Star Squadron
* Ajax_X's Red Ryder
* foxley's Miss Masque on America's Best Comics
As I said previously,
CaptainEurope for Spirou!
«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])
Conn Seanery for that great Wonder Man cover. I mean... homicidal sci-fi midgets drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz? Win!
