Remember Synch is a backup for Hope in the Five.

No he's not at least not directly. He's a potential mutant to assist in the resurrections but he's not a potential backup for Hope. her role in the resurrections is power manipulation, not mimicking. Lets say she dies; you cant just swap Synch in as he cant do what she can. All Synch can do is provide an extra set of hands to speed things up for all of them

Agreed, What I will say for Hickman is that he is forced to rectify the misdeeds of others IE Warren Ellis when it comes to characters like Synch.

Went into a rabbit hole on his intsa. Dude is straight with his drawing of black people! I however didn't see a picture of Synch. While on the subject, has anyone else heard about any kind of elevation of his position on the X-island? I pray that we don't see other writers just bury the work that Hickman put into him.

Synch is on the main team and dating Wolverine. Our boy is making the big league after decades of being KIA. Exciting!

I’m just glad Synch gets a chance to shine and maybe some much needed character development. He seems prominent in the preview pics I’ve seen so maybe he’s the POV of the team which would be sweet. He was the Jean grey of GemX so maybe they will continue on the unrequited love theme between him and Laura which is quite frankly gross if you ask me, but who knows? Historically, The X-Men follow a formula and part of that is an epic love story so let’s hope these two at least get a Phoenix Saga out of the deal.
