I think its the most inspired the line has been since the DCyou era. I'm looking forward to Nightwing and Robin myself.

I'm glad you are finding something in it. I just read Matt wagners run from 2006 and the man who laughs and was reminded of how much better it can be. Oh well.

Also recommended: Wagner's The Shadow. Funny how I feel like Bruce has devolved into The Shadow: This guy you have no sympathies for fighting crime.

We truly live in dark times where the most interesting Batman story is being told in an anthology book while the mainline books are moving towards that boring Magistrate and other solo Batbooks are either not serious or mostly one shots. The failing of the mainline books is just because DC wanted a black Batman to fight against the police.

Disagree completely. Every bat book that came out last month was great. Just compare last month the months before future state, the bat line was just terrible back then.

If you are talking about Batverse characters, i agree that they get better treatment after future state. If you talk about how the increased number of solo Batbooks after future state results in more good stories but also plenty more medicore stories for Batman, i can see why you say the line is better. But villain like Magistrate was definately not written for Bruce.

I really wish that the concept of the batfamily would end. Let the bat books be Batman only/centric books and let everybody else be it's own thing. I forever keep saying there should be a wall of separation between Batman and the "family" let him do his own thing and let the family do theirs. Tynion is really starting to annoy with how his run seems to be about everybody but Batman, and as a poster said in another thread; don't slap Batman's name on a book just to push other characters who can't maintain their own books. Bat books should be strictly Batman, others (aside from maybe Dick) should not benefit from the mythos he built when they contributed nothing to it. But I figure that DC doesn't believe that the family can stand on their own so that keep tying them to Bruce when in actually they are like an anchor weighing him down.

Because i never feel that the mayor is a good villain that can be included in Batman's rouge gallery and Lucius Fox would not need to become a traitor to make things more dramatic.
