Default movies about immigrants to the USA

Are there any movies about immigrants you have watched before and would recommend to me?

Godfather 2 is the story of the orphaned son of a mafia gangster who flees the feud violence in Sicily and immigrates to America. Growing older, he made his fortune but not through honest means. He became rich by being a gangster, a racketeer and a killer. Yeah, if the authorities found out he killed a few people on American soil, he'd be deported to Italy.

An American Tail is the story about a family of Russian Jewish mice who immigrate to America to escape the cats.

Brooklyn is a film that casts Saoirse Ronan in the lead role as a young Irishwoman who emigrates to Brooklyn, New York to find employment.

There is a 2013 film called The Immigrant but I haven't watched it yet. Is it good or no?

"In America" about an Irish family moving to NYC. Good film with some heart-breaking moments.

Moscow on the Hudson is a classic. More recently, Minari's been making the rounds for awards season, too.

The Farewell is kind of an inverse. The family has already immigrated and become citizens, but the daughter finds herself wondering if she's lost too much of her cultural identity when they travel back to China to visit family.

Far And Away. It's basically The West European American Immigrant Myth. Including English-speaking roots, marrying a British Princess after making one's fortune, and all the issues of being an immigrant are overcome with just a few setbacks.

The Fighting Kentuckian has the plight of Napoleonic exiles at its heart.

John Paul Jones is ludicrously nationalistic (and a bit loose with historical accuracy), but it captures the whole Meritocracy Myth pretty well.

I'd also say the first two Godfather films, but somebody beat me to it.

Off the top of my head, some films that tackle immigration to the US in a meaningful way:
    - In America (2003)
    - House of Sand and Fog (2003)
    - Babel (2006)

All very good, powerful films. All nominated for several significant Oscars. Enjoy.
"We are Shakespeare. We are Michelangelo. We are Tchaikovsky. We are Turing. We are Mercury. We are Wilde. We are Lincoln, Lorca, Leonardo da Vinci. We are Alexander the Great. We are Fredrick the Great. We are Rustin. We are Addams. We are Marsha! Marsha Marsha Marsha! We so generous, we DeGeneres. We are Ziggy Stardust hooked to the silver screen. Controversially we are Malcolm X. We are Plato. We are Aristotle. We are RuPaul, god dammit! And yes, we are Woolf."

Don't think Bend it Like Beckham is movie about immigration. It talks about immigrant family, but the main character was born in England

I love In America. It introduce me to Paddy Considine, love him ever since.
Which reminds me, I've been meaning to watch Minari. Gonna do it tonight

Not to mention Samantha Morton. But the film's all about Sarah Bolger singing "Desperado."
