    Miller’s Daredevil, Claremont’s X-Men, or Busiek’s Avengers, Gruenwald’s Cap or PAD’s Hulk?

    I am biased because Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character, but with that being said DD was in quite a bit of trouble as a title until Miller had his run. Not to mention the lasting changes to the character that are still with him today thanks to Miller.

    I've never been an X-Men fan outside of the old cartoon. I've tried PAD's Hulk and just can't get into it. I've never read the other two, so this was an easy decision.

    All of those are really good, but my favorite by far is Claremont's X-Men. Every five years or so, I make it a point to re-read his entire run. For me, nothing else comes close.

    When i think of the word classic, I think of Kirby and Ditko.

    Kirby-Lee's Fantastic Four
    Kirby-Lee's Journey into Mystery/Thor
    Ditko-Lee's The Amazing Spider-Man
    Ditko-Lee's Strange Tales.

    Miller, Claremont et al. are later in time.

    I voted for Busiek's Avengers, although I prefer Shooter's original Avengers run. All the choices are good, and should be read by anybody wanting to discuss the characters in the titles.

    For me it has to be Busiek's Avengers. It was the best run since Roger Stern's run. Between Avengers Forever, Kang Dynasty, and Ultron Unlimited this run delivered some all time great stories.

    Can't decide between Claremont's X-Men and Miller's Daredevil.
    Tolstoy will live forever. Some people do. But that's not enough. It's not the length of a life that matters, just the depth of it. The chances we take. The paths we choose.     A very hard choice for me. Upon careful consideration, I'll pick Chris Claremont’s X-Men run followed closely by Frank Miller’s Daredevil run. Both were the definition of iconic, IMO.
