Default They switch universes - Castlevania and Devil May Cry

Dante, Nero, Vergil, Lady and Trish are teleported into the Castlevania-verse, while Alucard, and all of the major Belmont protagonists of the games are teleported into the Devil May Cry-verse.

Which team does better in each other's world, keeping in mind they are stuck with the technologies and resources available to them in their new world?

Which team would fare better against the enemies/bosses faced by the other team in their games?

Dante and Co. are pretty far beyond the Castlevania protagonists in power. As long as they get brought into the situation, they could pretty easily run roughshod over the bad guys.

Most of the weapons in DMC are demonic based, so technology isn't a factor. But they seriously operate on a higher level of power than any of the Belmonts do. Any one of the main trio could solo Dracula pretty easy.

The Belmonts, meanwhile, would have a much harder time with the DMC verse. I don't see them being completely helpless, but they're definitely not doing anything to the likes of, say, Urizen

I think it's largely a speed problem for the Castlevania protagonists. Otherwise while they might not have the immediate power that DMC characters do, they're still plenty strong enough to function. Pretty much any given one of them can shatter several cubic feet of stone with a dagger or a perfectly ordinary whip at their lowest end. Then at the high end you've got stuff like Julius shaking large portions of Dracula's enormous castle apart with an attack he's perfectly capable of spamming at least a few times. Or there's Soma Cruz who's Julius-level normally and rolls around spinning a three storey tall axe, and if he goes completely unhinged, potentially able to mass-dominate demons. Any of the SoTN style protags can eat enough punishment to easily put them on DMC levels (albeit without Dante's silly levels of regeneration that he has in cutscenes). And you've got the Belmont Whip, which has demonstrated a lot of power to just **** up evil things, like its mere presence holding back Dracula's castle, all the demons therein, and Dracula's resurrection for decades. Plus there's a fair bit of deus ex machina magic. But they've got nowhere near the speed to compete...

...with the DMC protags (+Vergil), who have the vast majority of the speed feats in the series. I wouldn't really raise this point normally, but I don't think that actually implies the same level of speed from their enemies in this case, because in the majority of cutscenes, Dante or whoever, will just effortlessly style all over whatever they're fighting with no real indication that it's got their level of speed. And in gameplay, if you're playing at the top end where the characters are supposed to be, you'll basically do the same.

I think the DMC protags (+Vergil) would stomp all over Castlevania ones, but I don't think it follows from that, that their setting would do the same.
