Post How come there are not many knock-off Avvengers teams in other media?

I mean for the Justice League. Marvel have their own version call " Squadron Supreme". In Amazon's Boys, there is " The Seven". Then finally in the Invincible show, there is a team call " Guardians of the Globe" which consists line-up that are almost simlar with the JL.

It's like the media barely make any parodies team that take inspire from the Avengers. Sorry, just want to let u know.

There's one in The Boys, I think.

It's mostly because of how popular Superman was when he debuted. They wasted no time making movies, radio episodes and even tv shows of the guy. When he joined the Justice League, everyone got dragged along. Meanwhile most people don't even know The Human Torch was Marvel's first hero.

Also Batman and Wonder Woman where super popular too. DC just beat Marvel to every medium with their heroes. It took until 2012 with the Avengers movie for Marvel to finally get a jump over DC. The X-Men and Spider-Man where always more popular than the Avengers until recently.

Human Torch wasn't Marvel's first hero, he was their second. Namor had already appeared before Marvel Comics #1, the issue that debuted the Torch.

DC actually have two Avengers type teams, The Champions of Angor who debuted in 1971, and The Maximums who debuted in 2005.

The difference between those teams and The Squadron Supreme is, no one at DC has ever put much effort into fleshing them out and making them more than parodies.
Giffen and DeMatteis brought The Champions back Post Crisis, but they quickly faded away again. The Maximums haven’t even gotten that little bit of love.

The Squadron meanwhile, have steadily featured in Marvel storylines since their own 1971 debut.
Mark Gruenwald used them to great effect in a classic 12 issue limited series in the eighties, they were reimagined by J. Michael Straczynski in 2003; versions of Hyperion were used in The Exiles, and a version even joined The Avengers.

Maybe doesn't count, but I always thought the Justice Friends came pretty close...

The biggest example is the Vindicators in Rick and Morty:

The V logo is essentially an overturned A logo, and of course the word "Vindicators" can be a synonym for Avengers.

I think the reason is that the Avengers has no real distinct sense of identity that separates it from Justice League. It's a team-up of big powerful heroes who come together and fight crime and banter. Whatever satirical point you want to make with the Avengers you can make with the Justice League.

The Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Legion of Superheroes those are teams with a distinct and unique identity, not reducible to any single genre.

I remember the Justice Friends. It's the only Avengers knock off I can think of. Although I wasn't as familiar with the comics when I watched that show.

I know Dexter’s parody was pre MCU; I’m thinking there have got to be some post MCU examples, like the mentioned Vindicators

Sadly, they don't make many appearances in the comics.

Never had the chance to pick up the comics when they were coming out, because I didn't think they'd measure up to the animated series...

Hell, yeah! Like I said, I didn't get them when they were coming out. But many years later, I was able to get the complete set while shopping online...
