Went from one of my least favorite shows to one of my favorites in literally one episode. Ever since it started (forced to watch it) I thought it was a terrible show because the situation, as presented didn't make sense. And then I realized they were ahead of me all along.

Gravity Falls - the creator made sure to leave clues, it made looking at fan theories entertaining. I still remember a Tumblr blog figuring out an ending before it was done.
Perfect Blue - best bait and switch from an animated movie

The hammer claw to the head. I know a lot of people saw it coming, but the reveal that Cal was Dr Manhattan on "Watchmen" was a big surprise to me.

For TV, my favorite will always be the Green Goblin mystery from Spectacular Spider-Man
