See? Polarizing. I think Quitely was the best for the run...

NXM is a MUST for any fan of Jean but is quite bittersweet!!!!

That's good, I thought she had a pretty big part of it. Look forward to reading it, and I actually like Quitely's art, know a lot don't though.

I've seen bits and pieces and previews and I know how most of the story sorta goes towards the end. I thinks I will enjoy. I haven't read anything with classic Jean in a long while.

The scene where Jean single handedly defeats an invading army coming towards the mansion is such a good moment.

This run has flaws in execution but I love how it expands and evolves the whole concept of mutants and the X-Men.

    "Germ-Free Generation" Part 1 of 3

    Artist: Ethan Van Sciver

    1st Appearances: Angel Salvadore, No-Girl

Hank is still in a coma, protesters are still surrounding the school, Jean sits in Cerebro, Wolverine looks for a new mutant in WY, Scott and Emma investigate John Sublime and fall into a trap. Wolverine finds new mutant, Angel surrounded by armed men. Thats pretty much it for this issue. The art is tight that splash page with the title is great but this issue was alot of set-up for this arc.

I loved the moments when Jean foamed at the mouth (first Nova attack and second holding Charles' consciousness inside her head).
Morrison loves putting characters through the being disabled wringer.

The best thing I loved about it was cultural appropriation and mainstream vs underground meshed with mutantkind metaphore.
    Definitely agreed about wonky execution.

I cant remember all the pages it's hidden on, but it's deffo one of Van Sciver's.

No idea why he did it though. Artistic temperament?

No wonder his books took so long to do

"Scott...you're my favourite super-hero" (as she is a bloody dying mess during Imperial) was one of my fave Jean lines in the run.

I really really hate Grant Morrisons run, I didn't like Casey's Uncanny X-Men run either, I liked Chris Claremonts X-Treme X-Men and Ultimate X-Men though. Thank goodness New Mutants volume 2, Astonishing X-Men, and New X-Men volume 2 were spectacular.
