As much as I like swashbuckling hand to hand combat heroes, it would be cool to read about a master molecular physicist.

Love the Atom. I'm really hoping for a writer to one day go bonkers with the physics elements and really maximize the concept.

Ray Palmer is in my top 3 favorite DC characters. It's a shame that DC doesn't seem to have a clue what to do with him. This two part story from DC Legends of The Universe is one of my all time favorites that I re-read every year.

This is pretty much my favorite take on Ray...:



His powers were used very effectively throughout. I liked the new mask over the the full cowl. And best of all, he’d often be full sized while in costume, which I thought was way overdue, as other shrinking characters outgrew that trope decades earlier.

This series crossed over into the DC INVASION event, and I’m proud to say, Ray was the first Hero to strike at the aliens when they made their initial beachhead in Australia.; he went through the phone lines and got there within seconds after finding out.

I would say late 70s into early 90s were some of the best Ray Palmer we’ve had. That was a good series and I even enjoyed were he was de-aged in zero hour and became a Teen Titan in the 90s.
