Idk. I tried Doc Savage the last time DC rebooted it, with The Spirit and a more pulp version of Batman. It was ok, but it certainly didn't make me a fan or anything. However, I think it is highly likely that I'm just not a Doc Savage person. I enjoy The Shadow and The Avenger much more.
To me DC and other comic publishers have never capture the feel and tone of DOC SAVAGE.
Only writer Will Murray has been able to do that in his DOC SAVAGE novels.
Interview with Murray.

I just read FIRSTWAVE for the first time last week. It was a lot less than I was expecting.
I’d. Pad pass.
There was the 1987 4-issue series written by Dennis O'Neil and art by Adam Kubert and Andy Kubert. I bought it ages ago, but unfortunately I don't remember anything about it.
There was also a 24 issue series that ran from late 1998 to late 1990. For issues #17 and #18, it featured a story that crossed over into the DC series The Shadow Strikes!
