John Wick visits Gotham and decides to take out some premier criminals that he thinks he can manage. So he won't go after say, Clayface, but will go after the usual suspects. How does he fare? He doesn't announce this or anything, starts out laying low and scoping things out.

He does good Against reagler gangster typs but as soon as he gets in the way of someone he isn't ready for joker two-face etc it's game over.

Joker lets him go because he appreciates a fellow pencil trick aficionado. Also, because trying to understand how the golden coins in JW's Assassin Society actually work drives him even crazier and Wick walked out while Joker and Harley tried to work out a conversion chart.
