X-Men as an Image book

If you took a run from the X-Men and held it in isolation, as an adult superhero book with no real connection to the rest of the franchise what do you think would be good?

For me Uncanny 225-250.

Fall of The Mutants to Siege Perilous.

X-Men 56 through 63. The Thomas-Adams run is fantastic and a huge template for what came after, but it really stands on its own, without need for much introduction and doesn’t really need to go further. It is by and large self contained.
