It takes a lot of time to get used to Craig's Bond.
I like many, hated Craig in Casino Royale as I found his Bond extremely unlikeable and hard to root for, but he won me over by Skyfall by bringing emotional depth and humanity to what was lacking in the character in Casino Royale.

Skyfall and Spectre seemed to be skewing Craig's Bond more in the direction of the regular franchise, sort of softening Craig's Bond with some more humor and class (such as the cuff adjustment in the opening scene). SPECTRE took this another level, the SPECTRE car chase is even sillier than some of Moore's.
Dalton and Craig's earlier films tended to be a bit more like Fleming's Bond, who was generally more cold and less superhuman (He spends whole chapters recovering from injuries that most of the film Bonds would've shrugged off-heck a good chunk of Casino Royale kind of showed something similar). Although towards the end I think the movies were rubbing off on Fleming a bit, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN generally have Bond be a bit more light-hearted (He even warmed to Connery, with YOLT confirming Bond was half-Scottish).

I really liked the Brosnan era at the time, though I recognized it had it's faults. As good as Goldeneye is, I HATE the score to that movie. Tomorrow Never Dies felt more like a backdoor pilot for an Asian spy series starring Michelle Yeoh. Denise Richards... yeah, that about sums THAT up. And Die Another Day fell into the trap of using way to much CGI that looked dodgy back then, and has only looked worse with time. But Brosnan was always a fun bond, and I loved the gadgets. And while I love the more serious tone the Craig movies took in the beginning, I really enjoyed the campiness of the Brosnan films.
Yeah, Goldeneye's score is often not anybody's favorite. *some* of the "Industrial" sounding music worked in some of the darker scenes of the movie (Such as the opening and St. Petersburg). The best parts of the score-such as the title tune and the tank chase-weren't even by Eric Serra at all. Although his Natalia theme was alright.
David Arnold's scores, while still having a lot of electronics, were more balanced with orchestral stuff although he did, at times, lean a bit too heavily on the Bond theme.

Madonna was almost enough to totally sink DAD for me
One thing about Brosnan's era that was great was that it gave us Dame Judi Dench as M which was a brilliant choice. (I mean, they even kept her into the Craig era) Her interplay with Brosnan was always one of the better part of those movies and gave the franchise a way of addressing the more problematic aspects of the Bond "mystique."
I cannot remember the score of Golden Eye but the soundtrack or original song was fantastic. performed by Tina Turner, written by Bono from U2 and Pierce looks so darm awesome in this music video, perhaps the most bad ass, he was as Bond.
Tina Turner's song was pretty good
Brosnan was an excellent Bond but he had the worst run of films. Goldeneye really was the only good one, the irony of this is if we talk about the best Bond with the best track it's Lazenby as On Her Majesty's Secret Service is easily a top five Bond film
OHMSS had awful editing though.
