Skyfall and Spectre seemed to be skewing Craig's Bond more in the direction of the regular franchise, sort of softening Craig's Bond with some more humor and class (such as the cuff adjustment in the opening scene). SPECTRE took this another level, the SPECTRE car chase is even sillier than some of Moore's.
Dalton and Craig's earlier films tended to be a bit more like Fleming's Bond, who was generally more cold and less superhuman (He spends whole chapters recovering from injuries that most of the film Bonds would've shrugged off-heck a good chunk of Casino Royale kind of showed something similar). Although towards the end I think the movies were rubbing off on Fleming a bit, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN generally have Bond be a bit more light-hearted (He even warmed to Connery, with YOLT confirming Bond was half-Scottish).
