Dragging out the Bat/Cat hype as long as they possibly can. "Look, they met as kids! Kind of!"
I used to like Batman and Catwoman as a pairing. But i've kinda gone off it. I find the Batman/Catwoman comic a bit confusing and hard to read some reason.
King’s take is very different from, say, Loeb’s take or Dini’s take (which is my personal favorite.) I'm a big BatCat fan, but about the only King issue with the pairing I liked is the double date with Clark and Lois.
It feels more emotionally cold to me and pseudo-philosophical, while I think part of the fun is Catwoman bringing in an earthy and rambunctious energy into the usual Batman story, and getting to see more Bruce than Bat.
Like, TellTale Games has a great take on it, but it’s at the opposite end of the spectrum from King’s take on them.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?
I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP
Heck yes! Gimme dat Bat/Cat romance baybee.
I remember when Bat/Cat was first announced and they announced a special as an interlude I was intrigued.
Now I'm stoked, can't wait
Because no one demanded it!

Sweet, I'm down for an extra issue of comic I massively enjoy.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"
"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"
"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."
Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!
