Jean and Lorna doesn't overlap, nor Shiro and Scott.
I still want to know why a japanese nationalist is doing on Krakoa

I love this line up really excited for it. But I think by overlap they meant basically jean is a very powerful telekinetic, lorna is a very powerful magnokinetic jean can essentially do more than lorna as she has more range. But I think Jean is there mainly for her sheer omega telepathic might. Also she kinda made the team soo... Same goes for.her husband and shiro in terms of power shiro is just way more of an all rounder but I believe scott is there for his strategy and extremely brilliant tactics. Rouge still has super strength and flight from what I have gathered from excalibur so that will come in handy. And synch can use any super power from any source without harming said source. Overall pretty nice line up. Good representation of poc and women will have loved to see idie on the team though but I digress.

Lorna and Shiro sure deserve the push forward. I like the inclusion of Synch and Laura too - both great characters and it makes sense in-story.

Rogue... seems out of place. Is Sunfire the one she has more connection? That's strange. On the other hand, Duggan did write her amazingly in UA.

The fact that it was already announced that he was going to write a new mutant series.
