So I tallied up all the votes from the previous thread and these 15 heroes were the most mentioned! Personally I’d love a book featuring all of them as a team, but that’s just me. Anyway, choose 7 characters for your Justice League! Also discuss who you picked and why!

My main criteria was a couple of each, black, latino and Asian, and none of the 'Superman, but from China' or 'Wonder Woman, but black' people, 'cause I wanted something other than the POC versions of the big seven Justice League (which would be Keenan Kong, Nubia, Batwing, John Stewart, Jackson Hyde, etc.).

I didn't deliberately choose both of the Asians to be ladies and both of the Latinos to be dudes, but that's how the cookie crumbled, because I like the ones I picked better than Ryan Choi and Jessica Cruz.

Why would you call them safe/easy/boring? These 15 had the most mentions on the other thread. Next up were Hawkgirl, Green Arrow (Connor), Bumblebee and Black Condor. Kind of wanted to see John Trujillo aka Black Condor make the poll, just for some Native representation but he need at least one more mention to make it

Yeah, there's not a ton of Native representation, but perhaps Aztek, Black Condor, Equinox, Tye Longshadow, Manitou Dawn, Ya'Wara, Owlwoman, etc. could get a minor push, so that they could start getting considered for positions like this.

Similarly, while I'm not a fan of the Khalid version of Dr. Fate, I do kinda wish there were more Mediterranean / Middle Eastern type heroes to choose from. Iron Butterfly, perhaps?

That would be cool. I think Black Condor, Dawnstar and Tye Longshadow have the most potential but the former two need usage beyond the lesser DC teams they’re stuck on (I say lesser because LOSH and Freedom Fighters are at the bottom of the totem pole over at DC). Tye just needs usage period! Arak needs a good revamp as well! And Yara better not disappear into limbo whenever her book ends. Jaime, Jessica and Cisco are Mestizos so I’d love for DC to play up their Indicenous heritage (Mayan, Aztec and Taino respectively).


As for MENA characters, well Simon, Khalid and Black Adam are the most prominent! Can’t think of any other ones to be honest.
