Yeah a lot more emotional development in this issue then I expected, it was genuinely nice seeing Dick be there for Jon and being able to emphasize as someone who has the experience of living up to becoming a legend.

IÂ’m not sure how I feel about Jon hoping it was Nightwing and not his father who would come save him, but I understand the emotional sentiment and can genuinely see that Taylor writes this as something that really bothers Jon that he doesnÂ’t talk about and the art in that one panel really sells it.

Taylor in 2 issues did more with Jon than Bendis did in 20+ actually addressing the trauma of torture i love that!

Tho I am confused does this mean Jon is only 16 cause what I do recall is after volcano it was immediately back home so why is he 16 in college?

I mean to be perfectly blunt Lois & Clarks less than stellar parenting is the reason he was in that situation in the 1st place I wouldn't be counting on them either.

Great art, good character moments between Jon and Dick, and I guess Lois is taking over the Truth? No way the Truth organization is lasting long term then.

This issue was strange.

Jon waiting for years and wishing that Nightwing would rescue him with a lolli wasn't believable to me. I see what Taylor is trying to do setting up Nightwing as Jon's mentor but it feels rushed. Their one encounter in Nightwing wasn't enough set up. My hopes is that going forward we will see the relationship develop via flashbacks to justify what Taylor tried to sell us this issue

I really doubt Justice League vs Legion of Superheroes really did that well. I don't think that's representative of comics sales at large.

(But for all I know, it did get #1 this week.)
