Default Do you read new DC comics, old comics or both?

Do you prefer reading new and modern comics or older comics that have previously published? Or do you like to do both and keep up with the new and modern comics whilst also reading older comics?

I personally like focusing on one era of comics and then moving on to other eras.

Mostly both. Nowadays I'm keeping up with modern comics less as they've disappointed me. With older comics, I have the advantage of hunting down popular or critically acclaimed runs/stories.

I jump around a lot. No order in particular, just what I feel like that day.

Mostly old stuff, especially since the pandemic because I can't get to any comic book stores. But I read the odd new thing online--or take out books from the library. I recently finished reading all of Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp's THE GREEN LANTERN. But through that run, Sharp managed to prove to me what I love about classic comic book art and what I hate about current "painted" comic book art. Too bad he had to end the series with the bad "painted" look instead of the classic approach.

When DC or Marvel do a relaunch (or whatever you call a bunch of #1s), they do tend to sucker me in to trying out some new titles, but otherwise, I mostly read old stuff.

Almost exclusively old stuff. I occasionally get sucked into checking something new out, but I'm usually disappointed. I think comics have probably moved on from what I'm looking for, and that's fine by me, plenty of pre-2010 stuff that I've never read.

I lean towards older ones though I read some current ones that are in their own setting. Some is due to the prices these days and some to the content which tends to take itself or give the feeling of taking itself very seriously.
    Power with Girl is better.

Exclusively older stuff for me, a mix of nostalgia and runs I missed. I have no desire to collect floppies again and big "collected editions" are partly what got me back into reading comics again.

About 95% old stuff from DC and Marvel both. Between Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe Infinite, there is so much old stuff to read. Most of it is much more enjoyable for me.

In recent years I've stuck entirely to old comics. The few new books I've sampled just didn't hold my attention.
The announcement of the new Blue and Gold book will have me reading at least one new DC book in July

Mostly old stuff. Really hard to find something current that really excites me. I have all the Snyders Justice League TPBs lined up for me to read, and I simply couldn't get past the second. I Have Johns Doomsday Clock and Shazam TPBS also on my waiting list, however they always loose their place on the waiting list for Stuff like Ordway's Power of Shazam, PAD's book 5 of Young Justice, Wolfman's most recent New Teen Titans TPB, The Final Night, and so on... I'm having the same problem with Marvel. The old stuff is much more appealing to me.

    Peace

All of my DC reading are comics published before 2000. I've really lost interest in modern comics.
