Didn't they have supper speed or something they learned from those demons? Maybe there's a new big bad only they can stope so they use magic to bring them back.

It still raises the same question as before, "But Why?"

This isn't your typical fantasy story, it's based on an actual event. Over the years it's become more fictionalized like any story that gets told and told again, and this version in particular took a lot of liberties and added all kinds of fantasy elements but at the end of the day it's still that same story so creating a new story after the original had a finite ending is just a really odd choice.
