    1. X-Men (between Mystique and the Crucible, to the Vault, the other girls just aren’t doing it like Hicks, I fear)
    2. Way of X (it was that good, yes)
    3. SWORD (when it’s not doing crossovers, best Brand has been in YEARS)
    3. Excalibur (Howard is very good and the true successor to Hicks, sorry Duggy)
    4. New Mutants (the best since Wells, and perhaps the the most important since Claremont)
    5. Hellions (very good, needs more Maddie)
    6. Marauders (would be higher w/explicit scenes of Bobby giving Pyro sloppy toppy on the poop deck)
    7. Cable (Old Man Cable is crusty)
    8. X-Force (the focus of Beast is exhausting, give the people what they want: SAGE)
    9. Wolverine (it’s aggressively fine)
    10. Children of the Atom (big made by a committee energy)
    11. *snort*-Factor, I mean... Alons-y-Factor, I mean... (I can read this on AO3 for free bb)
    12. Fallen Angels (X-Factor isn’t the worst so that’s something I suppose)

I love reading people's takes. Shows how varied we all are yet we all love our mutants.

Yeah, no way. Both Duggan and Howard are nowhere near Hickman's level.

If only people in this forum would have the balls to accept this.

    My faves: X-Factor, Hellions, SWORD
Very Good: X-Men, New Mutants, Way of X
    Acceptably Fine: Marauders
Why am I still reading this: Excalibur
Dropped: CotA, X-Force, Cable, Fallen Angels
I will never be interested in a Wolverine solo

Or people can let people like what they like. Bigger balls needed for that.

There are way less abrasively phallocentric ways to say that.

Well I take issue with you calling adult Cable “crusty.” I’ll have you know that it’s canon that he has great hygiene, and smells like Old Spice and gunpowder.

definitely excited for Maurauders 22 according to Duggan he's working with one of the "best artists EVER" as well as a personal hero. I definitely feel like this issue may be his best yet coming out of Marauders tbh

OR people can be objective and accept reality. That doesn't have have to alter anything with tastes.

Art is subjective. Also I’ve seen very few defenders of Howard on these boards. People are excited for Duggan to tell more traditional superhero stories, but I don’t think anyone has claimed that he’s at Hickman’s level when it comes to worldbuilding.

Couple of things. I will admit that I am not sure how people "define" traditional comics.

AFAIK the traditional superhero tropes in comics don't appeal to the current demographic. It is why Geof Johns adopted a modern approach by his Doomsday Clock or 52 comics despite his usual traditional ways of storytelling in his Justice Society and more or less to an extent for Green Lantern. The same goes for Duggan or Taylor compared to the likes of Morrison, Hickman, or Ellis. It isn't saying that I am big fan of Hicks's current run with X-Men. Despite his success with HoX/PoX, the storytelling of his current has been subpar because they are just incomplete. They are just worldbuilding or ideas with the lack of characterization for the majority of issues.
