    Default Justice League #60 - Discussion/Spoilers

I though it was ok. I wished the story moved a little faster. 50% of this issue kinda felt like the League just discussing if Black Adam and Naomi should be on the team...

I though Aquaman interacting with the kids was cute.

It was kinda funny that Brutus went to Themyscira just for a fight, got his butt kicked real fast and left. But Canary calling Hippolyta "Queen Hipp"...like, the woman just lost her daughter, maybe don't call her that, LOL.

Also I liked Justice League Dark. Zee for team leader, Etrigan on the team. Yes, to both of these.

I agree it was kinda ok. Aquaman was slightly much better written than in the previous issue. Totally loved Hawkgirl and Naomi's interaction.

Back up story was good. But I feel that in one or two more issues Constantine will take over leadership as this looks like a ploy to make him look like a capable and better leader than Zatanna.

If you're looking for a writer who can tell a story at a reasonable pace, Bendis is not that guy. He is arguably one of the reasons why modern comics tell more decompressed storylines nowadays compared with comics from a couple of decades ago. Bendis has mastered the art of dragging a story out for way longer than it needed to be as he practically built his career on decompressed comic books.

I'm over the fight scenes. Too many pages wasted on cool poses. I like the book, but the pace is too slow.

This, it was 1.5 out of 5 or meh (at best) for me. IMO, The glory days of Bendis are long behind him.

Brutus doesn't even seem like an actual threat to the JL. He's like one of those 'wild card' characters you get in anime and manga, the really strong guy/girl with no loyalty to anyone whose only agenda is to fight other strong people.

Brutus beat up by Adam, got jobbed to Superman, then tanked the JL's attacks, then got jobbed to Hippolyta after he prepared himself.

I can't tell how strong this guy is.

I actually really liked this issue. For starter, this discussion with the League abotu Adam was great. It's really great to see how those characters are feeling and seeing things - and it's a great counterpoint to the other scene in the JLD backup of course. Also, I can't help but feel that Brutus is becoming more complex, perhaps he isn't a true evil character and more of a desperate one. I may be spitballing.

    Overall, 4/5 for me.

Really liked this - but then I've liked most of Bendis's DC work a lot.

I don't think he's evil or desperate, so far he seems to be looking for worthy opponents.

This is reading better than Bendis's Superman in my opinion,
Brutus is probably not that big of a threat in general, Naomi's big bad was that Zumbado guy,
there were only 15 super powered guys in Naomi's universe, which is one of the other Multiverses apparently,
so that world may still provide some more challenge.

Shouldn't Dinah know her as Polly anyway? She was on the JSA at one point.

    I don't know if that's currently canon.
