I'm getting a bit tired of this dynamic where apparently Price is expected to torpedo his career to follow his heart instead of orders from his boss, and then chastised when he doesn't. This is ridiculous at this point, and its even worse that he doesn't bring up that fact himself but talks around it. If they want to make the "Order" side compelling this ain't it, its obnoxious now.

SVU: Pretty decent this week. I wanna say it might have been inspired by this real life case from a few years back. A guy kidnapped girls and kept them in his basement for years. He even had a child with one of them. None of the neighbors had a clue until one of the girls somehow escaped.

OC: I almost felt bad for Young Casino Guy the way Mrs Young Casino Guy kept embarrassing him in front of the guys.

I agree that the SVU episode was pretty decent this week. Lots of moving parts but it really kept me glued to see what might happen next. The subtle and not so subtle ways the squad is trying to mold the new detective to the unit has been interesting. Gang unit tactics definitely won't work in SVU so it's good to see them taking her training in hand and that she knows she has a lot to learn while still trying to be her own kind of detective.

I agree that the L and O moral dilemma is getting old. You don't get that far if you haven't worked this out. Also, the case are terrible actors as compared to ones from the original run of the show. Yes, they had some stinkers but except for good ol' Sam, they couldnt' act out of a paper back. The detectives are clowns. Their tactics and actions are ridiculous. Oh, dear, we used love the old show.

SVU - their personal tragedies sunk that show a long time ago.

SVU: I started watching it and the TV was on but...started doing dishes and got distracted so I missed a chunk of it. So...spoilers:
Did the Crow turn out to be a woman was trying to frame all men? Or did I misunderstand the last five minutes? And what was that crack about Benson not having a wedding ring so therefore no man must be in the picture? That's an assumption someone would have made like 45-50 yrs ago...
    end of spoilers

OC: Although it was melodramatic and a few characters had some confused motivations, it was well paced and engaging. But spoilers:
did they really do the old cliche of the bad guy shooting his own men when they fail him thing?
    end of spoilers C'mon!

But hey...what did I say about Casino Wife a few of weeks ago, eh?

    spoilers:
The crow was some socially awkward dude that's, I believe the word is, a monomaniac, for musical composition and arrangements. His kink was tied to it in such a way he strangles women cause the vibration they make from trying to breath reminds him of a musical note or arrangement or something like that. The lady from the beginning though, the one Benson wanted to give "bracelets" to, was involved I just forget how. The crow named her, she's arrested and given ROR just with an ankle bracelet...which she slipped off in a taxi. She left a number on a matchbook for Benson to call her, and when Benson did she answered from a private jet, saying she's going somewhere without extradition. Benson promised they'd meet again. So SVU has a recurring villain it seems.
    end of spoilers

As for OC, I was hoping that the guy who got shot would become the show's new snitch, since they introduced one in the three-parter who was killed. Alas.

This is season 3, kinda late in the game for an audience surrogate which is what that tall detective is coming off as. And Reyes...felt like too much too soon with that storyline.

Ah well. Back on track with next week's ep.

As for Original Flavor 2.0...I missed most of it, caught it when it was revealed that woman called Maroun about the missing gun detail but she never answered.

Yesterday's SVU: It was ok. Wasn't sure if they were doing an R Kelly thing or if it was inspired by some other celebrity. Bensen's "When you're older you'll understand" speech while not untrue, was still kinda cringe. Rebellious teens do not take that stuff seriously, especially from cops. On the positive side , I'm starting to really like the Grace Muncy character.

Yesterday's OC: Again, enjoyable but somebody on that writing staff is going to have to start watching a wider variety of action movies. Yet again, we get bad guy killing one of his own men to show us how bad he is. And it's not that it wouldn't happen in a mob/gang situation...it just wouldn't happen like that...spoilers:
pouring the molten gold on the guy
end of spoilers. And we get to see a yet another foot chase where someone slides over the hood of a car.

Sounds more like watching too much Game of Thrones than action movies.

SVU: Just this side of Ok. Though I'm not sure they did a great job of explaining the life of the person who was killed. One thing that bugged me though was our heroes going, "The crime was violent and messy, but someone was meticulous about cleaning up, these things don't go together!" Like since when? Not only is this every other true crime show...it's every other fictional cop/mystery show from the last 40 years!

OC: I'm going miss Italian Lady Cop, I thought she was pretty charming. Calling it now...after the mid-season break, Casino Guy gets out of jail and becomes ruthless and super successful crime boss. Casino Wife comes back and although we think she's going to kill Casino Dad, it will be Casino Guy that does the deed. OR Casino Wife comes back, somehow convinces Casino Dad to let her run the show. She's successful so he let's his guard down. We think she's going to kill him, but Casino Guy comes out of nowhere and does the deed.

If casino guy kills his dad, it would only be in response to finding out the child his wife is carrying is actually his brother. He's obsessed with his wife, but I think his wife has moved on to the dad and they came up with this scheme to get him out of the way. It's a two man con (wife and father), cause how come the assassin had a 100% success rate with the poison clothes until now?

On SVU's side, the fall finale (Dec. 8th) is Rollins last ep. Muncy...is not a good replacement character, sorry. If they wanted a hard-headed rookie just bring back Kat. Ironically, the way they're writing Rollins NOW is how they should have written her a good 2-3 seasons ago. In the last couple of eps she provides an excellent counterbalance to Liv when doing detective work. Had shades of Goren/Eames, IMO. Just a bit.

Why does Peacock not have all of the L&O seasons? It's getting annoying having to bounce around between different platforms to catch seasons. I noticed Season 1-12 are missing along with Chicago Justice and L&O Trial by Jury? I'm assuming the FBI shows are on Paramount+? Just diving into the Dick Wolf verse

If i were to speculate, I'd guess maybe the broadcast rights are tied up in deals with syndication and the other services?
