I feel like droping the solitations at such a odd time lets us know DC might not bringing its a game in July. Can't recall the last time I was meh on all dc
Joker's first night in Arkham? Now we're getting a story I actually want to read
So, Crime Syndicate, Crush and Lobo, TT Academy, urban Legends, the Batman Secret Files (Huntress and Signal), Wonder Girl, Shazam, JL, FS:Gotham and Superman : Son of Kal-El. I haven't had so many DC comics on my pull in a long time (discouting FS).
And of course, at least the Statis Shock books in digital.
(I'm on the fence on Chekmate, probably will buy it when it'll be released in French in hardback format).
I had hope Truth & Justice wouldn't continue featuring Bat characters now that Secret Files exists... Oh well, maybe next month.
Rose looks like a proper badass on the Robin Variant. Love it.
This is looking like the best month thus far, for me, I can not lie.
Secret Files: Signal (I might get the Huntress one too)
Static Shock season one
Justice League Infinity
Other History of the DC Universe
Wonder Girl
Wonder Woman
Titans Academy
Mister Miracle
Batman: Second Son
Superman: Son of Kal-El
Justice League
Infinite Frontier
Robin
ones I might get/might skip:
Future State: Gotham
Icon & Rocket season one
Green Lantern
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
Yeah July is actually looking like a really interesting series of books for me as well.
Infinite frontier
Superman: Son of Kal-el
Wonder Girl
Robin
Teen Titans Academy
Swamp Thing
Nightwing
Flash
Green Lantern
Suicide Squad
Possibly but needs to be determined by budget:
Static
Icon & Rocket
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
SUPERMAN AND THE AUTHORITY #1 (Morrison doing Superman again? Yeah, why not?)
THE OTHER HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE #5 (It would be nice if this kind story and viewpoint got to people who actually need to see it.)
RORSCHACH #10 (I know this is supposed to put us in the role of investigator, but this has been the slowest of the King 12 issue stories)
STRANGE ADVENTURES #11 ( I gotta reread Sheriff of Babylon)
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
Wonder Woman #775 and #776
Wonder Woman: Black and Gold #2
Superman and The Authority #1
Superman: Red and Blue #5
The guy in charge of them left two months ago, and whoever's taken over clearly has too much of a workload. They must've been working through the night for them to be released at 2am ET! The timing doesn't tell us anything about the creative stuff, what it tells us is that they don't have their ducks in a row and are short staffed. AT&T overdid the redundancies, I reckon.
Appreciation Thread Indexes
Marvel | Spider-Man | X-Men | NEW!! DC Comics | Batman | Superman | Wonder Woman
Superman and the Authority and Wonder Woman 774-775 will probably be it for me.
Though I will be keeping tabs on Green Lantern and probably trade waiting it. Other than that, nothing really grabs me here.
Nothing I can’t wait until January to read on DC Universe Infinite.
Doesn't look like CBR has gotten around to posting the July DC solicitations yet?
