Default The Phantom Stranger Appreciation Thread 2021

"I am but a stranger-as we all are. Lonely inside our separate skins, we cannot know each others pain and must bear our own solitude. For my part, I have found that walking soothes it; and that, given luck, sometimes we find one to walks besides us-at least for a little way." - Alan Moore.

How did we go this long without a Phantom Stranger thread? Shame! Shame! ::rings bell:: Shame!

My first exposure to the Phantom Stranger was in an issue of Gotham Adventures:

I'm pretty sure this was the first comic book story with the Phantom Stranger that I bought off the spinner rack at my local stationary store:

Thanks man. He's been one of my favorites for a long time but sadly doesn't get much love.

You're not supposed to, and I agree, his design is very distinctive.

One of my favorite episodes and yet another hero that Kevin Conroy was perfectly cast as.

When Stranger and Bats interact in comics I like to think they both wonder why the other sounds so similar.
