I know what you mean, but that's a great story for Jean. For Bishop, I feel he'll eventually be worse for it when a writer comes in and puts her back with Cyclops. That's just how comics are. It's like when Lois Lane goes for another man... that relationship is not going to last.

Jean doesn't HAVE TO be a Lois Lane/Mary Jane. There's no rule that says she HAS to get with Cyclops. This kind of thinking is why I am so futilely adamant that Jean be allowed to grow.

Exactly, which is why I feel a legitimate relationship with a quality man like Bishop, someone who is begging to be fleshed out and shown the many levels of nuance to his humanity would be a perfect consideration for a suitor for Jean. I personally think they are kindred spirits of 2 fiery personalities, being fighters at heart.

Besides, Even if the relationship (metacontextually) inevitably going to end in favor of the more classic brand standard, it doesn’t mean it could be a rich growth opportunity for each character. Most relationships end! That doesn’t make them pointless.

Facts, although MJ is one of the most fleshed out and deep characters in 616.I get what you're saying though, people will never take MJ w/ another person other than Peter(all her other "relationships" have been horrible at best in writing as well) even in concept(which yeah, keep her single for a bit if not w/ Peter).Jean isn't that, people can and will enjoy reading her w/ other romances.

The thing is Jean and Scott have never been a couple like Sue/Reed or Peter/MJ.

The first answer in that link pretty much sums it up.They just put them together in Krakoa era for the heck of it, Morrison era showed that Jean and Scott were done and it made sense.I wouldn't mind if Jean was w/ Bishop(specially since his promotion so more panel time).

Or she could just have a fling w/ him and/or anyone else.I would have liked if we saw her discover what she wanted in the krakoa era instead of being stuck w/ Scott(and Logan) again.Which we also need elaboration on, they showed her sleeping w/ both so can we know what's going on there.Maybe she can add Bishop to her harem or something.......

Oh the rage if she was banging all three and it was acknowledged on panel, lol I can only imagine. I very much wish. Or even better, just Logan and Bishop.

Also, I have to note that they haven't shown Jean doing anything with Logan besides making out.
