It's giving me naruto and sasuke

I definitely think they could be leaning toward Static and Hotstreak being a more firmly antagonistic Naruto/Sasuke or Midoriya/Bakugo type rivalry relationship.

Static should always have a thread! I’m glad the rights issues have been resolved and he’s getting a comic again! Can’t wait for his live action movie either!

Also I hope someday they team him and Blue Beetle up together! Come on that’s just a natural pairing!

I actually think Jaime is better paired with Jason, who debuted around the same time and has a similar power level.

Been waiting years to see Virgil team up with Cisco for a while now though. Seems like an easy fit in the Dakotaverse.

Hmm now that you mention it Cisco and Virgil would be a good team up and friendship.

Jason and Jaime were paired together in Injustice 2 so I can see that. Beast Boy already has Cyborg as his super buddy.

I think Jaime and Virgil would be a good pairing simply because they have a lot in common, on top of being two of DC’s most popular younger heroes and POC.

Dear lord I hope not.

I don't mean a one for one reflection, I'm doubtful they're going to have Virgil chasing Francis around bout "but friendship!!!". moreso Francis is likely meant to be Virgil's rival shadow, a foil we'll likely see grow and progress adjacent to Virgil's development as Static; as opposed to someone like Ebon who looks to be more of a Shigaraki/All for One or a Tobi/Madara type.

I follow him on FB and he's definitely a huge Naruto fan (manga and anime) in general. So I'm not surprised that he's drawing inspiration from that for this.

Is Daisy in this?

I know in the comics, it's Virgil and Frieda but I grew up with the show so I always leaned towards Virgil and Daisy.

My exposure to Static is from the animated series so while part of me is happy to see Richie given how strong his friendship with Virgil was, I don't want to see him suit up. He worked best for me as Static's bro who had his back and was emotional support. I don't want him taking any focus from Virgil, especially given the limited length of the run.

That said, Richie and Freida look great. NDI is killing the visuals on this book.
