I hope something happens in this number.
"Never assign to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity or ignorance."
"Great stories will always return to their original forms"
"Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable." James Baldwin
What is even Leviathan's deal? It seems to change depending on the story.
(I low-key hate it when they call him "Clark Kent" now).
I don't know, I think there has been a lot of consistency : they want to make the world a better place in the most radial way (absolute transparency, no more secret services, etc.) and they want to win over Clark to their side...
But like most extremist movements, their goals are undermined by their means. If they won, of course they'd be the heroes to everyone's villains... but as long as they don't, they can only pretend that they don't resort to terrible behavior.
Absolutely no question this book is moving at a glacial pace.
I was hoping things would pick up a bit considering we've already had Event Leviathan and the Leviathan Dawn one-shot setting the dominoes up.
Not quite sure why Bendis hasn't pulled the trigger yet. An interesting premise is now beginning to bore me.
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
