In today's Guide to the Hellfire Gala preview it featured upcoming titles at the books end and there was an untitled title amoung them with its title blacked out with a classified shielding.
To me the title reads "The Trial", which leads to speculation on who the trial is for ?.
The obvious candidate would be Wanda Maximoff the Scarlet Witch, others that spring to mind are Henry McCoy the Beast and possibly Raven Darkholme Mystique.20210429_183707.jpg

wanda does seem like the obvious candidate but it feels a little early to do it. the hellfire gale seems like its the end of the first act of hickman's era on x men and wanda's story feels more like it wont happen till the end of act 2.

I think it's going to be the trial of Mystique. I think she's going to do something extreme to try and get Destiny resurrected, but she'll get caught and that threatens to expose why Krakoa won't resurrect precogs.

I think The Trial or maybe The Five are good bets, but I also think it could be totally different and just a placeholder under the redacted, since on the announcement I’m pretty sure the redacted artist for Hickman’s book was just “Artist” lol

I also think one of the possibilities is something a little more focused on the 5, but they are featured in X-Factor so unless that book ends I don't think that would be the case. Originally Posted by Krakoa

A trial of Mystique would be interesting but I don't think they would make a new book about it.
I do think that given how Way of X is exploring religion and a different viewpoint on Krakoa, this could follow mutants who are looking to reform the Crucible Trial.
