I wish Marvel would put the Official Marvel Handbooks on their Unlimited section of their site. My brother had the original set that come out years ago, in the 1980s IIRC.

For another thread, I took pictures of the maps and floorplans from a set of handbooks for an older role Marvel Comics role playing game from 1992 that I picked up from eBay some years back.
They are too large for my scanner so here are some photos

These things were never consistent though.

The Batcave or the Avengers Mansion looks completely different from one issue to the next.

Hopefully this counts, but I remember reading...

    The Punisher Armory

Not only did they include weapons/floor-plans/cross-sections, but it also revealed Frank's thoughts & feelings about his favorite subjects...

Pretty much anything done by the esteemed Eliot R. Brown counts.

Issue 2 of Beta Ray Bill from last week had a cross section of his ship Scuttlebutt. I did find it weird that there appeared to be other people on the ship though.

I don't know about the Batcave but IIRC Avengers Mansion has been destroyed a couple of times.

Don't forget the Batcave was destroyed during No Man's Land.

But one thing is consistent in all Bat-caves, the giant Tyrannosaurus Rex, the giant penny and the giant Joker playing card, don't know how the hell Batman moves those thing around so much when he needs to expand his arsenal.

And for awhile, the Jason Todd Memorial. But I guess it's no longer on display, now that Jason's back...

I really miss these too, plus the footnotes they used to include about when something of relevance to the story happened. Oh, and thought balloons!
