American Alien was fine, but all of this just sounds awful.

Why should he?cause it's owned by the company?nah! it's at the very least fun to just play with toys like this.

I actually like the idea too. It could work for an elseworld.

That sounds like the typical manhating take on WW with added insult of being manipulated by earth dudes (again)

There are enough talented creators chomping at the bit to tell banger Superman stories that we don't need to source them from jackasses like Landis.

I really loved American Alien, but didn't know about the controversy until I looked it up just now and yikes. Yikes yikes yikes. I think some of the ideas talked about are really interesting for an elseworld (except that Wonder Woman, um, no thank you) and I wish it was a thing where gross people could lose custody of potentially cool ideas so they can be rehomed with un-gross foster parent-writers who can give them a better life.

I don't have an hour and a half today to watch a man disappear up his own ass. Nice try, Landis.
    May we never forget:

I'd love to rewatch that RLM video where they watch Neil Breen's Double Down. Unfortunately, Max Landis is there stinking up the joint. Glad he was never invited back on.

I think they did another video with him where they discussed one of his movies bombing or something like that. But it was forgettable and irrelevant episode so I'm just being pedantic here.

Excellent response. An hour an a half on a man's vanity project, which is basically him trying to rebuild a fan following from comic fans after he was outed as a monster, isn't a great use of time.

I made use of the search function for the first time to see if the Kryptonian Epic had been discussed at length here and found this thread.

There's been a few new chapters of the epic uploaded, this one, an animated piece, focuses on Landis' take on Krypton
