So something that was on my mind with this issues ending....if the battery blew up and took away the corps power and that’s understandable.

However, I’ve been thinking about Jo and Keli and where there green spectrum energy comes from. Like what is the source that allows Keli’s gauntlet to run and Jo’s ring to operate as normal?

It looks like it, yeah. Or maybe he wanted to use the ring to protect Keli and himself and held his arm out on reflex? Then he might have gotten hurt by the blast before Keli could put up a shield.

Jo's ring's spectrum energy is self-sufficient, so I guess it somehow filters the spectrum energy by itself?

I think Keli's gauntlet will turn out to be something different entirely considering Jo is a Green Lantern but Keli isn't.

CBR thinks we just saw Kyle killed off. It would explain why he no-showed Future State...

There are some theories on Superman's board that maybe Daxamites are being slowly phased out of continuity.

He looked dead to me too. But I guess the damage he took depends on how fast his companions reacted. He didn't freeze over, so if his issue was truly only oxygen and, uh, being in pain, they might have been able to help?

CBR has been making one click-bait article after another lately based on one panel of a comic. There's no way Kyle was just killed off like that.

Probably you are right, although that scene reminded me of the awful one in Injustice.
    I'm really worried now.

It wouldn't surprise me if they make another article about Gold Beetle's cameo on the same page, lol.

They did retcon Mon-El as being a descendent of Jon instead of from another planet.

This was awesome. Hopefully Redjack is on this for a while because it's the first time I'm invested in a Green Lantern comic. Even with the constraints of a monthly issue, he does well with all the Earth based lanterns and gave us a pretty decent reason for why there are so many Earth lanterns. Hopefully Kyle and and Simon are alright.

Agreed. Kyle will most likely be fine, if not, I'm sure they will do something positive with him.

There is so much to like about this title:
    - The abiding sense that the entirety of the GLC's history is being fully embraced, even as it's being swerved in a new direction.
    - The voices of the characters.
    - The possibilities of the new status quo.

It's very much a good thing.

    And yet...

No. I'm going to hold back my whiny old man grumbles for the nonce, and let this play out.

Yeah, thats what the panel seemingly implied. The way it looks (in space, with no more power), Kyle would be dead.

But, that would be a really weird way to kill off a marquee character (one single throwaway panel), so that is why I am questioning why it is portrayed that way.

Also, based on the timing of everything, wouldn't John Stewart + 1000 lanterns still be in transit when the central battery exploded? So they should be dead as well, since they are using a ship that is made out of lantern energy. I guess the 'few minutes in hyperspace' thing kind of covers it, but still.

I interpreted that panel as less "Whelp, Kyle's dead now," and more "Hmm... How's Kyle going to get out of this one?"

Yeah, I can't see them killing off Kyle like that.
