I... don't think that's true lmao. Based on the House of X timeline we know Genosha happened three years ago so Axis probably happened like one year ago, and most of the rest of that time was spent with Erik and Wanda believing they were relatives. That's probably closer to ten years?

And also, he was basically raising Wanda and Pietro before that.

Magneto never raised Wanda and Pietro. The Maximoff's did.

    Interesting.

If you make the mutants this powerful, you need to get a better plot/antagonists to counter them without such a glaring plot hole/making them look ridiculously incompetent.
    Because...

having Magneto, Storm or Iceman go full throttle would kill everyone.

Mercury gets frustrated, which summons Onslaught again, who in turn becomes responsible for Wanda's death. To cover both for Onslaught's existence and the girl's involvement, Magneto takes the blame for the killing. Additionally, I imagine that Onslaught taking on his true form by possessing Mercury's body could easily be mistaken for Magneto.
My main question with this theory is how the timing of it all works, since the Mercury/Loa events appear to have happened hours after Kurt was passed out with Wanda and Magneto dancing behind him. Unless WoX is playing a bit loose with the timing of things, Wanda would have had to remain behind at the Gala a good, long while after it ended.

I really like the logic behind motive and cover-up though.

He took them in when they were still teenagers. He raised them.

He did not. He was a boss to them, not a father. The Maximoffs raised them from the time they were babies, until the time Marya died and Django went missing and believed to be dead. Their powers manifested, they were homeless for a time, THEN Mags found them and rescued them from a mob. They spent 9 issues in his service. Which included him trying to force Wanda to be with Namor for his benefit and chaining them to a wall to prevent them from leaving. He was no father figure. And did not find out he was their father (mistakingly) until Wanda was married.

They were, he was not their father at the time and was indeed quite crazy, it´s a good thing they managed to fight it off later and was even invited to Wanda´s thanksgiving party.
