The box office on the original was just a fluke, right?

Venom is one of the three-character in comics imo that in last 15 years has sniffed near the level of regular big guns in comics(Harley Quinn and Deadpool are the other two). I wouldn't call the box office on the first one a fluke, Venom is a legit popular character that has a surprisingly big fan base average stuff should do well for Venom.

Unlike Suicide Squad (Didn't like) and Deadpool (Mediocre and I can't stand Reynolds) I enjoyed the first Venom Movie. I'll be the first person to say it wasn't perfect but it was a really fun movie. We all had a great time watching it.

Yeah. Green Goblin may be the most impactful rogue but Venom was the most popular. ASM #317 is what got me into collecting comics and still remains the best Spider-Man vs Venom Fights (Heck, even one of the best comic book fights) today.

Overall, I can't wait for this movie. I'm hoping the Carnage Symbiote isn't a spawn of Venom but gets a new origin story.

Venom's a cool concept, but I prefer Flash to Eddie, honestly. More character there, IMO

I thought it was surprisingly funny and I might watch it this time.

Venom cooking is something that I never knew that I needed, until now.

Also Cletus looks genuinely creepy here, and that shot of Carnage at the end was perfect.

Carnage is a legit top tier Spiderman baddie and there are amazing stories to mine there. First Venom was a surprise box office hit for me I still didn't think it was as good as the money it made but I like Tom Hardy. And there are elements to it that work.

Keeping this in a silo basically away from Spider-Man right now seems the way to go. It would be weird having them interact at this point

EDIT: Never mind. Just found out that woman is going to be Shriek.

I hope Woody chews up scenery.

Indifference is the strongest emotion I can give after seeing the trailer. I fell asleep on Venom when I watched it so....

I see the comedy is stemming from their Odd Couple pairing and daily life together. Harrelson makes a good Cassidy, but otherwise....m3h for me. Might see it when it hits....whatever streaming service it hits whenever it does.

    I'm there.

Now I'm wondering what they're gonna do for a part 3, unless its Venom vs Carnage round 2.

You can see Naomie Harris (who’s playing Shriek) briefly in the trailer as well. Looks like she’s getting powers as well.
