Both were smash successes when they debuted. I think they were talking about replicating that lightning in a bottle phenom for a brand new LGBT character.

I so agree. Why is it so difficult, Marvel? Marvel should be banned for using the term LGBTQ+ if they fail to do justice to the acronym.

Right there with you. Especially since this seems to check the same boxes as Graymalkin (a character Orlando has also said he wanted to write) of old gay man gets a second chance to live his truth with the X-Men.

They already have a great one with Shade but maybe a little bit of lingering pettiness towards Sina Grace could be the reason they aren't using her.

It's more likely many of the current writers/editors/readers aren't aware of the character existing and of those who do many might simply not find them particular interesting and/or memorable.

The fact that the Iceman series, in which the character was introduced and mostly used in, sold quite badly, increases the likelyhood that the number of people who are aware of the character in general is likely very small (and half of them could possibly those who only learned of the character from mockery on the internet).

In general i would guess the character did not create a lot of hate or love, regardless of how "loud" some where about them, but a whole lot of "meh".

Shade/Darkveil is not a trans character, he is a drag queen, his real name is Darnell Wade.

Its insulting because Shade is a drag queen. He identifies as a MAN outside of drag. That is NOT what trans is and Sina making a drag queen instead of a fleshed out real black trans womam just further pushes the point we need more black trans writers. But no shade is not trans. Hes a drag queen.

That's ridiculous. You want your comics to end because they're not doing what you want? Have you even wrote the x-office about requesting a trans character appear?
