"I love mankind...it's people I can't stand!!"
- Charles Schultz.
The only voice of Batman and Bruce Wayne to me (particularly his earlier BTAS voices). I deeply suspect he could have physically played Batman in 89 (if Hollywood wasn't so big name driven at that time (and all times)).
Mask of the Phantasm....THE BEST BATMAN FILM (live action, animated, etc).
RIP, Conroy Forever

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
This is some really sad news. He is my favorite Batman and he will be missed.
This Post Contains No Artificial Intelligence. It Contains No Human Intelligence Either.
I...I...I just don't know what to say.
This is legitimately gutting for me. A man who defined a character, a character that defined me in many ways, and carried the spirit of the character through so much...such a kind, compassionate, soul who has gone through so much before he finally achieved the legendary status he deserved.
RIP Kevin Conroy. You were Vengeance. You were the Night. You were Batman. But you were also yourself.
He was definitely a great Batman. May he RIP.
Awww, damn! This is awful! I’m just crushed at the news. RIP, Mr. Conroy.
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!

English is not even my mothertongue, but this still utterly shocks me
He WAS Batman, no 2 ways around it.
This one hurts.
Truly sad. The best Batman. He was also great as the Phantom Stranger on Batman: Brave and the Bold.
Watching television is not an activity.
This one cuts deep. Thanks for all the joy Mr. Conroy, and bon voyage.
I think a lot of the posters here will agree with me in saying that Kevin Conroy was our generation's Batman. Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, plus all of the other TV and video game appearances have been my main sources for Batman. I agree, I hear Mr. Conroy's voice whenever I read a Batman comic. I'll also add on by saying that I recall his acting and presence whenever I read a Batman comic as well.
Besides his performance as Batman, I'll remember the great interaction with fans. I remember watching him perform with the Comic Book Club where he talked about being a short order cook for volunteers down at Ground Zero just after 9/11. He gave them a special surprise by delivering the trademark "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am BATMAN!" and reminiscing with the volunteers afterwards. I'll also remember the time he and Clancy Brown shared their respective thoughts on playing Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor. Finally, I'm glad to know that he wrote his story of being a gay man just in time for the DC Pride issue.
Thank you so much for everything Mr. Conroy. Thank you for being our Batman.

"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Rest In Peace Mr. Conroy. Thank you for being the best Batman a young child, and then an adult, could ask for.

I actually recall him from his soap opera days on Search for Tomorrow and Another World. I was surprised when I learned he was the voice of Batman on the beloved animated series. RIP.
